  • Preservation Assistance Grants help small and mid-sized organizations preserve and manage humanities collections. By building their capacity to identify and address preservation risks, these grants ensure the collections remain valuable for source communities, researchers, students, and the public. Collections may include books, journals, archives, prints, photographs, films, sound recordings, architectural records, art objects, textiles, artifacts, furniture, historical objects, and digital materials.

  • The Museums for America program supports museums of all sizes and disciplines in their strategic, project-based efforts to serve the public. This includes funding for exhibitions, educational and interpretive programs, digital learning resources, professional development, community engagement, audience studies, and collections management, curation, care, and conservation. The program is divided into three project categories: Lifelong Learning, Community Engagement, Collections Stewardship and Access.

  • Inspire! Grants for Small Museums is a special initiative of the Museums for America program. It is designed to support small museums of all disciplines in project-based efforts to serve the public through exhibitions, educational/interpretive programs, digital learning resources, policy development and institutional planning, technology enhancements, professional development, community outreach, audience development, and/or collections management, curation, care, and conservation. Inspire! has three project categories: Lifelong Learning, Institutional Capacity, Collections Stewardship and Access
